What a ride 2020 has been, from COVID-19, online school, mining for new book genres, mining for diamonds (yep, I started playing Minecraft), it has been a year which has challenged us, made us adapt, it has shown us what happens when you mess with nature (ding-ding very bad things), but it has also been a year where we discovered ourselves, grew closer to our families, tried out a lot of new things for example – this blog. It wouldn’t have been possible without my dear friend – 2020. And now that it is over, I have this weird intuition that I am going to miss it. I don’t know why, but this lockdown became a new “normal” for a lot of us, maybe because of the 21-day habit thing.
Now we have a 2021, the year where the vaccine started getting distributed, where offline school started and the year where I enter my sophomore year at high school. You remember how you used to pray for a lot of rain so that school would be cancelled due to road blockage? Or was that just me? Anyways, it looks like the Earth itself (or China) wanted to give us a year-long break from school. And now that we have started this new year, we need to gear up, take out our notebooks, write down our new year resolution and then start achieving them.
Write down you New Year Resolutions. You need to start doing them right now so that you can stop doing them a week later…..
A Philosopher (Yep i know its me….)
But in retrospect, I don’t think 2021 is going to be a lot different than 2020. We still are going to miss our assignments, sleep during classes, eat during classes (if my teachers are reading this – I wrote that just to make it relatable, not that I do any of it….). We just won’t be able to blame it on our internet or say that our mic and camera isn’t working. I do have a lot of ideas for this blog, and I think you will like them. But the most important thing that I have learnt, not only in 2020 but also 2021 is that our life is a blank book and our job is to be the protagonist of our own story and make the book interesting.
I will post again in a couple of days, spoiler – it’s about my new favourite book. (I know, I seem to be getting a lot of them lately, but this one is amazing, especially for readers/gamers. It really makes you think and is a GameLIT-RPG Fantasy in a post-apocalyptic setting (which means Earth has been destroyed) and there are aliens and stuff in it, but it is an awesome book. The title will be announced in my next post. See you next time and till then….peace
Cool!
